Background
IL-17A plays important roles in both innate and acquired immunity and is, especially, involved in the accumulation of polymorphonuclear neutrophil leukocytes. IL-17A mediates crucial crosstalk between the immune system and various epithelial tissues, initiating a series of defensive mechanisms against bacterial and fungal infections[1].
